Courtney Hamilton is an attorney-at-law with an established practice in Montego Bay. A Kingston College graduate, he earned his Bachelor of Arts and Juris Doctor from Howard University in Washington, DC. He began his legal career with the prestigious New York law firm, Skadden, Arps, Slate, Meagher & Flom, LLP, but quickly went on to open his own practice in Queens, NY, specializing in real estate and corporate matters. After over 30 years of practice in New York, Mr. Hamilton returned to Jamaica, where he owned and operated Buccaneer Beach and Chatwick Gardens Hotels in Montego Bay, and established a local law practice. His practice now includes his daughter, and operates under the name Hamilton & Hamilton, Attorneys-at Law. His current business portfolio also includes Idlers’ Rest Beach Hotel and the Everglades Center in Black River. Mr. Hamilton is an active member of the Kingston College Old Boys Association, the Omega Psi Phi fraternity and the Cornwall Bar Association.
